This has appeared here in the UK... I know they are big and I assume that they only vend small 6oz/8oz bottles. Looks like the door liner is missing from the photos.

Any idea what the red wheel at the bottom is??

I'd stay away from it Dave! They big and do not hold a lot of value.
The red wheel goes on the inside of the main door, which is missing the liner.

Thanks Guys...

Was I right about the bottles... Just the small ones??
Is it wooden framed??

I'm getting more pictures sent, just in case. Hope to have my Jacobs back very soon. Can then start on the Westinghouse so might just have some space.. But don't really need it, unless it stays well cheap (I know its not cheap for you guys but he's practically giving it away here)

Shouldn't be too heavy, the compressor is missing. I wouldn't
drive 2 blocks to pick this up as it has very little desire as a vending
machine over here.
However, if you look at it as purely display item or for storage
uses you may do OK on it for resale in your local area. But please
don't push the Mrs. Bird too far, remember you only get to bring so
many toys home. Are you sure you want this 83 to be one of them?

Dave,

You are correct.  This machine only vends the small bottles.  I am a fan of all-red machines, and the outside of this one looks good.  As Glen stated, it might be cool to have it as a storage use.  You could keep extra machine parts, your stock of extra soda/beer, etc. in there, and it would fit in well with the decor of "Dave's Diner."  Just take out the bottle drum and put in another shelf.

If you look close there is an evaporator in there so I bet the cooling system is complete. On the 83 there is a shelf above the evaporator. I agree that these are not too desirable  but they aren't that bad either. It is the same cabinet as a 110 so it isn't too big. I would do anything to have any machine even an 83 here in Singapore. I would say that if the price is right and it is close I would go for it. The main doors on these open without first having to open a coin door so maybe gut the vending drum and turn it into a refrigerator.

Hi Guys

thanks for the wise words....

Have had some pictures sent through from the seller...

It does have its compressor and evaporator present. What sort of working condition they are in, I don't know.

If it stays real cheap I might have a go. If it starts to rise I'll let someone else have the apin and perhaps invite them to the site.
