Anyone seen this email yet, can't authenticate it but sure is a nice story!!

Goes like this..

Subject: What's in the barn

A New York man retired, wanted to use his retirement money wisely,
so it would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal.

 The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 yrs.;
the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs.
The house was sold to pay taxes.

There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and
they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to
see what was in the barn, and it wasn't  complimentary to the property
anyway......so, nobody made an offer on the place.

The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved
in, and set about to tear in to the barn.......curiosity was killing him.
So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders.......
and cut thru the welds.

What was in the barn...............?

and start wishing it had been you who bought the place.

If I had bought it, the barn would've just been filled with cow poop.  The doors would've been welded shut by the townspeople to keep the stink in.

Ive seen this story a few places now, I believe on Camaros.net is were I read a magazine called old cars weekly or something like that did a follow up on it. They came to the conclusion that the cars were owned by a dealer, whatever didnt sell or whatever he wanted to put back went into the barn.

Joey is closer to the truth, according to Snopes.com, an editor of Sports Car Market magazine hunted down the photographer, The barn exists, the cars exist,  but both were owned by a former auto dealer who hired him to record his collection.

It won't stop me looking for a new house with a locked shed hoping for a stash of RC 81's inside...
