Yes,
I do everything in house except the chrome. The welding photo was work in progress, it was completley welded out. I too have a Victor thre door that I will be restoring at a later date. I know this isn't going to be easy.

Now Hammertone paint has a resin in it.. it's not like most silver
paints... I had my 39 tub powder coated cost $75 had to blast the galvanize
off it and it had to be ran through the oven before he powder coated it..something to do with what is in the galvanizing.... It turned out nice but
he said if I ever wanted to take it off paint stripper would take it off... It's
a tough finish but it does scratch... I've also had part zinced and had them coated with a yellowish finish said it would hold under a salt water spray test of 72 hours constant (what ever that meant) without damaging it.
This shop plates the highway guards...
I personally will take the tub out clean it and use the Hamertone
on my 56 the liner/tub is in great shape... and I don't want to remove or
weaken the old galvanize protective finish... the Hamertone is more like a protective coating... someone did a 6 month test on some shelves and they
looked day 1 after the six months the other shelves they painted
with a silver paint... not so good...
