Just got a near mint Westinghouse WC160t. It is a very large machine. Can someone point me to more information on the machine, or can give me some info on it.  '>

Description: The Westinghouse WC-160t is a wider version of the WC-96t. The WC-160t came with a "White Top" paint combination with a "Refresh Yourself" plaque mounted on the front door at approximately eye level. Since this machine is wider, Westinghouse added a second bottle chute to aid in dispensing bottles from the wider vending rack. The model WC-160t could vend either regular or king-size Coke bottles.

Thanks for the info. I need more info. Where can I find any manuals on it. Would like to know if there is a certain way you have to load drinks in, (What slot do you start with first? I have several Selectivend Dr Pepper Machines, and this one is a monster compared to them. How do other collectors feel about this machine?  '>

The coin mech. only accepts dimes and vends fine. It rejects nickels. quarters do no fit. It is missing the money box, and the change tube. The coin mech is a National Rejector model: 1-02-049-ND. I have included pictures. Does anyone have one of thes machines, if so, will you please post a pic of the coin mech area, so I can see what is missing.

Nice looking machine - even if it is a monster!
That is the same type mech that is used in a lot of machines.
As far as I can tell, nothing is missing from the mech.
The rejector is missing the knockout arm, but it should not affect operation.
It's only purpose is to push washers off the washer retaining wire when the rejector is scavenged.
Your mech should vend on two nickels or a dime - the rejector is probably dirty.
I disassemble the rejectors completely, but yours looks pretty clean.
Some people put the whole thing in the dishwasher or boil it - just make sure that you remove the cover plate with the NRI decal (nut/lockwasher and bolt/brass washer).
To remove the rejector, pull the small spring steel clip slightly out to the right and swing the rejector out.
Loosen the screw above the magnet to remove the magnet.
Clean the magnet and the mainplate underneath the magnet. Replace the magnet.
On the backside of the rejector, you will see a triangular looking access hole in the rejector mainplate.
Clean the anvil, which is accessible through that hole.
Also, make sure the two bolts securing the anvil (located next to that access hole) are tight.
The nickel is first tested by diameter (size) as it passes the cradle test and is directed down the rail towards the magnet.
It is tested for composition as it passes under the magnet.
Finally, it is tested for resiliency as it bounces off the anvil.
Usually, the cradle does not need adjustment, but the path of the nickel must be clean and dry.
NEVER use any oil on a rejector - it will only gum up over time!

Very sharp looking machine.
To understand your coin mechanism, compare it's operation
with that of the Selectavend you have in the picture. They are the same.
