Hey Guys,

Check out this Delph machine.  I wish I could have it... it looks really cool.  At any rate, someone here should get this baby!

I believe johnieG pointed this out in a previous post the first time it was listed. It looks pretty complete. It's ID tag says MFG by Atlas Tool & Manufacturing Company - St. Louis, MO. Wasn't the Atlas Company that produced a lot of Dr. Pepper coolers located in Dallas, TX. Is this the same company - anybody know?

That is a very cool machine.  I wish it were closer.  Wonder what size bottles it can vend?

According to the "Book", I believe the machine vends bottles up to 12 oz. in size.  I'm not sure if Atlas produced a lot of Dr. Pepper machines.

In Walter's 3rd book (which is the only one I have), the machine is not listed. Does your book give a value or any other info on it?
I just looked at the Soda Machine section of SMC and learned that Atlas was originally in St. Louis and later moved to Dallas, so I guess it is the same company. I thought it was odd that there were two companies named Atlas producing soda machines. Does anybody know when they moved? The SMC Soda section says the Atlas Delph 159 Triple was produced between late 40's into the early 50's, but no mention of vending capabilities.

The machine is in the edition of the book I have... but it's at home.  I'll look tonight.

It's on page 281. The one in the book has an internal coin mech. where this one has an external box and a very simple coin mech. I like it.
Interesting how the bottles are stored and dispensed vertically.   This machine is rare and is in nice original condition, reserve just got met at $50.00,  I hope someone here takes it home.

I'd like to take it home... but the wife might shoot me.  Then, I wouldn't get to enjoy the machine.  I wonder how much it would cost to ship it to Virginia?   '<img'>

If you look in the Questions section the buyer states that the reserve is $600 I think that he might have left a 0 off.

I'd love to have that machine..
