Hello everyone,

I am not really sure if this qualifies as a syrup dispenser or not, but I was hoping someone could help me out.  This is a Lancer model 85-1005 that I picked up last weekend for $10.  Did I over pay?  I plugged it in and the compressor and fan run, and each of the valves make noise when pressed.  What do I need to make this thing serve cold Cokes?  Is there any way to tell if it cools?  I only ran it long enough to hear the compressor start.  Does anyone know where I could get an owners manual?  I searched Lancer Corp’s web site, but did not find any hits for this model.

THANKS in advance for any and all comments,
David

Hello,

After a little research, The fountain was made around 1985, and the unit does get cold.  I will need a carbonator, some syrup pumps, a CO2 tank and regulator, and syrup bags to get it working.  Total of about $200 or more.  Not sure if I am going to set it up or not......

What is a carbonator ? I assume this somehow mixes the C02 with the syrup/water ?
