Brent

Did you see it in action or was it transported by a company??

My chap sent a friend down to pick mine up and I was able to run through the whole machine and hand him a cold beer.

Sounds like your seller has been a little ecconomical with the truth.

Are new compressors readily available?? I know that there is a seller on Ebay from time to time that
sells the drop in compressor for about $100.00 but I guess you'd still need to get someone to charge it etc.

Best of luck mate.

No, I didn't see it in action.  I think my wife thinks I should take it back, but then I would be out about $120 ($60 the first time, $60 the second for gas).  Eric said that a new compressor will run under $300 for my machine.  I have not had time to call him yet - hopefully tomorrow.  My next thought was...as long as it is out of commission and getting a new compressor, why not rip it apart and do a full restore since it has only a very small amount of surface rust on the bottom and one dent (probably protected by the at least three layers of paint)...but that is a topic for later and a new thread...
