I'm after a little bit of help and advice.

My 40th birthday is approaching (April) and I want my famil to chip in and buy me a present that I can look back on years to come and admire.

I have been taken by the Pam Soda clocks that were made in the 1950's and have been watching them on Ebay for a while.

However, I know next to nothing about them. Does anyone clooect clocks. Could you perhaps give me a breif history outline as to what to look for. I'd like something other than Coca-Cola possibly Dr.Pepper or another US Soda make.

Any help that you could provide a complete nvice would be greatly appreciated.

Dave

PS... If I win that lottery I'll have one of everything

They are re-making/repro-ing the double bubble clocks. Made by the same company that made the originals.... theres a Dr Pepper 10-2-4 , a Nesbitts, a Orange Crush and another soda I believe...
I want the Dr Pepper .... Super Quality but are becoming hard to find.
That's a great idea... they are around $175 (US) sure someone here could show you a site that
carries them.

Selfish Plug...

I have a few available in our SMC Vending Shop: Double Bubble Clocks

As far as I've heard, the Dr. Pepper clocks have been discontinued until another manufacturer can reproduce them; this is what has made them difficult to locate.

My six cents,

Hmmm wonder why. I read on some site that sold them it was from the original manufacturer.... wonder if they lost/dropped their license.... Can't see why there they can make one and
not the other.... same molds.... just differnet art. Must be a License thing... wouldn't you
know... I thought that was the best looking one.... A buddy has the OC one very nice and well made.

Dave, do a search for awsum advertising.  They are all reproductions but he has the largest line of different double bubble clocks I have seen.  He seems like a nice fellow and he is trying to make me a new glass for my Griesedieck Brothers Beer Clock.  I like his seven up and Hires Root Beer.  He has a price of 199.00 but will let you make him an offer...

Dave Johnston here in Ca. is reproducing all the pam clocks. He lives about 2 hours from me. He also reproduces the Jr coolers and ice chest. I have a couple of original round pam clocks. One is a Mint condition "Perfect Circle Piston Rings" that hangs in my shop. I found this one hanging on the wall and still in operation at a cement plant in Alberta, Edmondton Canada when I was there on a project. The other one is a "Whistle Soda" round clock. '<img'>

Hello Everyone

thanks for your pointers. I was hoping that I might be able to get hold of an original. I assume that Coca Cola like all things are the most readily available and anything a bit unusual is like rocking horse poo....
