I hope the "Vet" hangs around. He makes me chuckle. I'm reading this in the middle of a very stressed
school run and its bought a smile to my face.

Oh, yep we'd all like to hear the follow up on your machine.... So come on Vet man let us know how you are getting on. Let's hope it doesn't become a milestone around that neck of yours.

Put the Lyon on eBay and see what it brings. It might bring more than even YOU think it's worth...
It truly is a great and rare machine... And I agree with Dave.... stick around...
You can't be all bad.

Oh, '<img'>  I thought it was too good to be true '<img'> !

The rusted machine is indeed the one currently being discussed.  It cleaned up very well.
I used a rust inhibitor, Rustmort. I pour it in a spray bottle, spray an area, wait 20 min. then scrub and rinse. Seems to work so much better on white paint than red though.

Glen,

Where can this "Rustmort" be purchased?
This is an amazing product because the photos, if this is the same machine, show incredible results!

Rustmort can be found at the automotive paint supply store. It's intended use is to kill rust before painting. It is supposed to be left on exposed rust for 24 hours,  but works on surface rust on paint if left on for no more than 20 minutes. It is a little strong for painted letters and decals though.
