I have a guy with a bunch of signs for sale. I don't know if there is anyone here that collects. What are these worth and what should I offer? I know nothing about signs. Thanks for the help.

Wow those are some neat looking signs ! I love the "sign of good taste" clock, that's awesome !  I'm not a collector tho, merely an admirer..

The two are actually Thermometers. The one looks nice in the pic and the one has a bad spot  in the lower left. He also has a 24 inch metal button that is in great shape that I don't have a pic for. I can't wait to get back from Chicago to go see them. Any help on value is a huge help.

Ive had a few of the thermometers I sold them for $150.00 each. The sign with the rings around it was used in grocery stores for marking the aisle numbers if im not mistaken thats a sign worth some good $$$. When I wake up later today i'll dig the books out and see what they say.

That is pretty much what my basement is full of...signs and thermometers (see my pics on the photo album page).  The first tin sign is a case insert sign. It doesn't look to be in great shape and I wonder if that white paint would come off where they changed the price?  I wouldn't go over $100-$125 or so (book $325). Now that is what I think, but some might go higher or lower. With signs like this, to get book value they have to be basically perfect or really rare. Of course these are all my opinions thinking you would want to make some $ off of them.
The In Bottles thermometer looks rough to me and they are not hard to find. I think the prices on these 12" therms have dropped a bit over the past couple of years, so maybe $50 on it and a bit higher on the other (although I wonder if they are working since there is about 10 degree difference in the two).
The fishtail sign looks bad and I might not even bother with it unless I got it pretty cheap, < $25.
The calendar looks rough, but the button on it doesn't look bad, depending on what the top of it looks like. Book is around $300, but that one isn't in very good condition.
The dimensional sign (In Bottles) is common. It has a couple of good chips in the porcelain, maybe $100.
The aisle marker sign, missing the numbers, looks pretty good.
The flange sign (the side we can see) looks like good porcelain, but it is in French. I would not go over $200 if the other side looks just as good.

Way to go Dan.
Probably most people here have a copy of Jeff Walter's Soda machine guide.  Well Petretti's guide deals strictly with Coca Cola advertising, and is a must for someone like Josh who seems to fall into this neat old stuff.
Also come to Pittsberg this summer. The worldwide Coca Cola collectors club reserved an entire hotel that will be full of this type of stuff, all for sale. You learn a lot about quality and value that week.

coke_and_stuff, you answered my question before I even asked it.. I was wondering what the loops on either side of the sign were for.. that one looks neat..

I didn't even notice that the round signs were thermometers and not clocks.. but still very cool..
