Hi, My father has owned this machine for about 15 years. He bought from someone for only $50. It is a little rusted in places and works perfectly. The coin mechanism is in place but does not operate. It holds 52 8 oz coca cola bottles. The serial number is 191084. My father is considering having it restored and I have been looking for days and can not find a machine which resembles this one. Any help in identifying the manufacture dates and the model would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone knows of a good restorer within a decent drive of Nashville, Tn we would appreciate the info. Thanks in advance for the help!

Can you try posting the picture again? If you preview a post, you need to re-attach the picture.

Here is an interior shot as well. The machine sells cokes for 10 cents. Thanks again!

I just located the model, it appears to be a Cavalier 51 and has the original all red design. My father paid 10 dollars for this not 50, just confirmed that as well. The coin mechanism does not operate. When you drop a coin in it falls straight through. Any suggestions for repairs or should we look at purchasing a new mechanism. thanks

Remove the slug rejector and soak it in acetone over night. Use a container that you can seal, Then using a plastic bristle brush. Clean it up really good. I dis-assemble it as well. The coin path may need to be sanded with 1000 grit sand paper. Re-install and it should work just fine.
