West coast here. What does a chapter do?
This geograhphical breakdown is great. Noticed several posts when the 39 hit ebay this AM. Could e-mail locals direct if a bargain in their back yard
Or if buying a machine from another area, members in that area may help pick it up

That is a great idea. I have passed on a bunch of machines that were local pickup only due to there distance. If we could all get together and help each other out even with only that it would make a huge difference. I would have no problem driving to pick someone elses machine up packing it up and sending it out. I love this site. I don't know what I would do without all of you.

Loman and MoonDawg have a great idea about the pick-up thing. I am still trying to get my FIRST machine and have had to pass on some too far away. I'd rather deal with you guys regarding shipping than a stranger. Naturally, I'd try to return the favor.

Darn I was hoping you were closer as I have a few machines to sell. It looks like I might be making another transfer here soon to Atlanta si I am going to lighten the load to machines that I want to keep.

Moondawg, A Chapter doesn't have to do anything but as you see they evolve to meet the needs of members. Also can get together for lunch, swap meets that sort of thing.
