Josh,
Like you I started with building custom classics and then started doing gas pumps and coke machines. My last completed truck was a 67 chevy stepside. It was a frame off custom built show piece. It was featured in numerous magazines. I showed it at all the west coast nationals, Lots of best of show awards. A japanese buyer approached me with a whole bunch of cash and now my truck is in a collectors museum in Yokohama, Japan. '<img'>

That is really cool. An old Farmer in indy bought our 4 door sedan and the president of Crysler european division bought both the Nomad and the 2 door hardtop for his museum. My Father and I stoped restoring cars when my mother nicknamed the last one the divorse mobile. He took the hint. Now the garage was full again when I moved back but they made me move all of my machines into storage. I can't wait untill the government tells me where I am going. I would like to have a big garage of my own asap. Heck with a house I can live in the garage.

My first car was a '71 Vega! Ha!!!! probably not a “classic” then I had a
'65 Mustang, a nice '64 Riviera then my favorite all time car.....
a 1950 Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe ! LOVED that car...
But I lost it in a FREAK Flash Flood here in Missouri in May of 2000
It's still buried in the creek bed.... got 13" of rain in an hour!
Was straight as an arrow.... one of those barn finds....
Now with three little ones a classic car is on hold.... Lucky to
get a machine now and then..... But I know
somewhere out there... there's another little bullet nose Stude... with my name on it!!!!!!

I've always admired old muscle/classic cars but never really had the funds to purchase/restore...
I recently went to the Palm Beach Barrett Jackson Auction and had a great time!
I personally had several '69 Firebirds with one being an actual TransAm that I never should have sold! I was trying to upgrade to an all original '65 GTO convertible, but that deal went sour and there I was, with no car at all... And today, I'm still without a classic but it may be in the future...

My six cents,

I found a 36 chevy master deluxe 2 door coupe here locally that I'm checking out early next week. (owner is out of town)The car runs and is complete and he only wants 800.00 bucks. thinking of chopping and chanelling it to make a cool ratrod. ':drinkers:'

I had a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 at one time.  Fully restored, numbers matching.  It was painted Pontiac Autumn Bronze, offered only in 1968-69 and looks alot like the fusion orange gaining poularity in recent years.  Unfortunately my wife never thought kindly of my little joke of referring to my car as "my other red-head."  I still have my wife but no longer have my car.  Pretty apparent which red-head won! ':p'

My uncle collects corvettes and has two storage facilities.  I'm hoping he remembers me in his will.  Amongst his collection is a model for every year of the first series of Calloway Top Gun Corvettes made between 1987 and 1995.  Twin turbo v-8 packages...what more can you say?

wonder if I could talk him into trading me a car for a coke machine? '<img'>
