I am glad you like it. Maybe I can see it in May. So what are your intentions for the machine?

The plan is to restore it and use it to replace the Cav 51 sitting in my garage.  I have 2 sliders on the list in front of it to get finished.  I will see if I can get it running this weekend, if so I may put it to use right away.

BTW, I may know someone interested in your Dad's slider.

Here are some photos of the 96.  After rewiring the compressor, it started up right away.  Cools down to 30 degrees and with lots of thermostat control left.

It has been painted once or twice.  The lettering is pretty rough.

I logged back in tonight after a long absence.  I was surprised the posts from way back when were all still here.  My username still turned up the old posts from back in the day although the posts no longer seem associated with my current login.  Reading back through the posts reminded me what a great community there is on here. I remember very well the kindness Josh extended letting me get this Cav 96 he had found.  The Cav 96 was restored and I’m still using it today.  I hope to be on here more again and re-engage with the great folks who make this a good place to be!  Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

You can't just pop in like that without showing up a picture of the machine restored. 16 year old post, wow!
