I bought this yesterday for 25 bucks.  The motor and external cap catcher are missing.  How hard will it be to find parts for it?  How many of these were made?  This is my first but technically second soda machine (the true first one hasn't been delivered yet)

Hello,Jimbo
I THINK it a great deal !! The tray on the inside is there. These are allways missing . Cap catcher missing (Have seen them on e-bay time to time ) And side Thermstat Cover (I think?)could easly be made .Paint & add cooling system .FULLY RESTORED $1.750. I would restore it !! It a 2 case office cooler by Cavalier late 40s early 50s

Yeah and if you didn't feel like restoring it, you could sell the basket alone for FAR more than you paid for the whole thing.
