I was going to use a a dark blue.  PPG Shopline 190015.  A few members have them both of them have been blue.  The book shows a repainted orange one.

I have my original Barq's sitting next to my original single dot pepsi and the Barq's is slightly darker blue with a purplish hue.

I'd like to see a picture !

The only other members that have one like look more Pepsi Blue!

Walters Book says they had a hint of purple I was going to add some Pearl in the paint but wasn't sure how it would look!

If I didn't see the brand I would think it was Pepsi blue. Isn't the Barqs more of a purple tone?

According to the book you are correct .  The trick is getting to to look like that deep blueish purple without a paint code. Not very many done.

I was able to borrow a members lid stop off of their original Barq's. I compared it to my solid blue Pepsi 81. I used a PPG 190015.  They are pretty darn close .

Thoughts I had though could the original pain be faded?  With newer style type paint and a nice new clear coat make a difference in the colors, etc.

My first thought was to use the same blue that I have used before ...

Thoughts??
