I think the color on that lid stop is definitely faded, thats why it looks so close to the pepsi, I'm in the process of doing my barqs cooler right now and found a spot under a piece of trim that never saw the light of day, the color is definitely a deeper blue with a purple tone, when compared to my pepsi it is a completely different color, I'll take a pic when I get home of one piece next to the pepsi blue...

I'm going to take this lid stop to my paint supplier he said he may be to tint it with a little purple. A hard machine to color match I've only seen (1) mine

Thanks Lonny for scanning your original piece for reference here is a code that will have the dark blue with a hint of purple.  I'm sure there are few other options I'm going to have a few colors sprayed on a card and choose from those!

The code on the sample is E-1Y190, KX-1.  Brand of paint on the sticker is Valspar or Clark and Kensington it says both.  I'm going to use this code to at the automotive paint store to see if I can cross reference.

Make sure you use a long nap roller when you apply that paint Jared.  It will look a bit bumpy when you first roll it but the finish will lay down as it dries! laugh Cool biggrin

That machine is going to be killer!
