It all started with a stroll through the parking lot at the fall Chicago show with Matt (Mcarter). This is where we stumbled upon a early 1900's Holcomb and Hoke Popcorn Machine. This yearly stroll with him always seems to empty my wallet and always leaves me with something big to ship.
It was just to cool of a piece to pass up so after a little persuasion I purchased it. As I was trying to figure out how I was going to get it to Jim at the Popcorn Machine Museum, Brian (seven187) said he would be happy to drop it off. He did that for me and Jim worked his magic over the last several months getting it up and running. This past week Brian was coming out this way and dropped off the finished machine. I am just thrilled with the way it turned out. I just wanted to share something a little different with the group. A big thanks to Matt for persuading me to buy and the referral. Thanks to Jim for getting it up and running and of course a big thanks to Brian for all the logistics. I find this to be the best part of this website. You meet great people become friends over the years and help each other all in the name of collecting and preserving our history.
