Yeah Schwans... sorry for the spelling.. Yeah not quite like the guy that drives the white van with all the decals and creepy clown music, we have him too.. I was just throwing out all we have here
I remember when I was in college and just married, I ran the Schwans guy down and bought a six pack of ice cream sandwiches and ate them all that afternoon
before the wife got home but she found the empty box in the trash.. busted!
Then way back when I was a kid we had a old guy that drove this little 2 man car thing.. like what the parking meter folks use to drive... He drove through everyday during the summer selling snow cones had this little hand bell he rang and out we'd run snow cones where .25 awesome... Would love to have that little car thing....had like a little truck bed on the back... he had it all set up
was pretty cool... this would have been early to mid 1970s...

Ya nothing special around here but a person that has a beat up old econoline van with ice cream stickers stuck all over it. Kinda lame. I remember back in the day working on an legit ice cream truck with my friends dad. I thought it was the best thing ever. The best part was the sound that bell made when we pulled the rope. SCHING SCHING! It was a distinctive sound unlike any other and when the kids heard it they knew exactly what it was and they came running.

Use to have one until a couple of years ago, was neat to hear it go through the neighborhood.

This was mine. Did a complete resto on it and operated it for 4 years. Then sold it to a collector. Original 1965 Good Humor Truck, (Ford F250 chassis).
