So when I saw a member her post a pic of his great Quikold Jr find... I was one pf many who congratulated him on it, and had a dream that night that I wish that were me making a find like that.
Fast forward a few weeks and that very same cooler is sitting at my shop! (I'll spare you all the details of this hunt, as it basically involved a computer and me sitting on the couch lol)
1refrescofan, I just want to thank you for all your help, and for letting the cooler go to someone who will enjoy it forever, and even pass it down to my kid!
I know pics of the cooler were posted earlier, but now that it's new for me, I just gotta post a few more
I just picked it up yesterday, and since I'm slow at work, I already tore it down and started to work on it. I'm attaching a few pics of the sides where I cut off the rust of the lip and will be welding in a new pc in to support the new base I have to put it.
I'm also having to make a new liner.
Sending it off this week to get acid dipped (free for me as I send off about 50 tons a year for galvanizing... so the guys at the plant do me a solid
)
Will post more pics as the progress goes..... this is my first resto that I am EVER undertaking, so I hope I don't screw it up! (seems like this Jr. is easy, as it came apart pretty easy..... I guess I should be carful what I say lol)
