Just got this bottle opener.  Its definitely a quikold opener and has an old Pearl Beer sticker on it.  The sticker matches the size and style of the stickers the company put on its openers for other embossed soda coolers (see dr. pepper pic).

So does this mean there is an embossed Pearl Beer quikold cooler out there somewhere?  Has anyone ever seen an embossed quikold cooler for a beer company?

would be cool if there was...

anybody know anything?

Yes there was a embossed Pabst quickold in Springfield, MO for a few years it traded hands back and fourth with a few dealers for a few years and finally disappeared. I also believe it was on ebay form awhile.

It was a big one, probably a master. I do not have a pic of it that I remember. Randy Mitchell and John Ryan were the two guys that both owned it. It went back and fourth from their shops for several years before it finally disappeared.

I think Rick's restoration bought the Pabst cooler. He called me with a few questions about it a while back.

Remember seeing it in Ozark.. I thought it was something else, definately a master at least.. no lids, though I think it would have had slider type lids, no tub
just embossed on the front and maybe back don't remember being embossed on the side?... was blue-ish?...
I remember Randy put it on ebay as “would consider trade”.. that got it flagged and pulled from ebay. Was neat but not into beer and was too big of a cooler
never seen a beer cooler embossed... would like to see it now.

Pabst the beer company did produce soda in the late 50's early 60's, but I think in cans only.

But there was a Pabst company in Ohio that bottled soda

So it may not have been for beer.

Here is Erics original post about the Pabst cooler, sadly no pics though!

Audio... got to stop by Randy's... (wife was asleep in the car)
saw your 44 and junior! Man he has a lot of cool stuff there... did you see the embossed
Pabst cooler? Never seen a beer cooler embossed... heck... never seen a floor model beer cooler ever.
Looked alot like a Westinghouse master or a Quikold... embossed on the front and back panels.
Front panel was enclosed all the way to where the back panel was open underneath for empty
cases..... Would love to see it restored... a rare one for sure.
