EDIT: please read my second post for more details.. I am mostly posting about the 55 because the owner would like some details and your input, he has 2 Vendo 23's I am looking into later.

This machine just popped up on my local Craig's list... Says it is complete and working and gets ice cold... All I know about it is it is basically the square top 44. What are they worth? Again, posting from tablet so I have to link pictures.

Well I just talked to the guy and he is super reasonable and we are meeting after I get out of work. He also has 2 vendo 23's which he says one is in spectacular original condition.(those are like $400-600 right?). He has 2 other square tops I'm not interested in. Will update with more pics at like 6:30pm. What is the 55 worth, he wants to know your guys' input.

I would give $500 for it. But the sign and side decals are not period correct.

 Jack

$1500 Is To High !! I have Owned 3 at one Time And Still Own 2 .The Model your Looking at is a C-55-D  Most Common It is a single vendor .The Light Up is not the Original Style (Newer Replacement ) . Please Make SURE the vend motors Work ? If Not there Nearly impossible to find with out buying another machine & All the side spacer are present .Id SAY $600 to $800 Range if it works and is  Complete .Some Have Sold Lower But Luck Is Everything

In the Picture Of Mine you can see the Original signs .The Left one is a single vend the one on the Right is the Rarer Double Select Model C-55-E The value I place on it is  $1200- $1500 Hundred .There's Probably some here that will disagree But Try locating One  tounge I'm Still looking for a Double for a member On here so I don't have to sell him Mine  laugh

But Remember It's Just MY option
I know Were theres a Double and I've offered him over a grand but he wont budge

If it is a pepsi, I believe it had to have been repainted at one time. I think they were only made for coke.

I Believe they were only made for coke .I have seen them painted Pepsi & The Metal Sign(Cheep Version  55s ) Pained Or Descaled Pepsi.
And A Few Parts Are Available from some of the Supplier on the Site Here . And Another Member (MCarter) Did at One Time have The Spacer Shims Made & Had A spare vend motor .

So heres the scoop... this guy, Matt P, is a collector. These are machines he is trying to sell and does a lot of buying and selling. He seems to get pretty big bucks for what he's selling. He said he turned down an offer of $1300 for the 2 V23's, and only one was complete... I was shocked he turned that down. He was super nice and I pointed him in the direction of the website, so Matt, if you ever read this, post pictures of your collection! We were just way off on prices and i was surprised what he was hoping to get, but from what he was telling me, he gets those prices... I guess its only worth what someone will pay, and people he knows pay alot!!  tounge tounge ...

Anyway I may have not gotten a machine but we may have gotten a new member and contact!
