Here's an original Coke Junior cooler I picked up at the Chicago show. Nice all original with no rust. I am going to restore it. Question I have for everyone is should I chrome the side handles or paint them back red like it was originally?  help

Red.  I would think chrome handles would look cheesy

Id say do what you do to the main lid handle... maybe a brushed nickel would look nice too.
if your going to restore it , then the whole thing is going to "SHINE" so Chrome would look fine on it I'm sure..

The Half Junior Cooler is a rare fine, Petretti's 12th edition has them value at $1400. I would keep it original, but chrome and new paint would look really nice. I'm for right now not restoring it, but may in the future. I'm looking for the side handles.

This might be the perfect opportunity to inquire about having a set of handles reproduced.

I could really use a set, hint hint Rod. I have searched and come by some recess pulls that were similar, but they need to be just right to fit in the holes and the right bolt pattern.
