Great unrestored condition complete.  Guy wants $2000

Sounds a little high

Any thoughs?

I sold one with a belt line rust, unrestored but complete, and cooling  2-3 yrs ago for $1200

Again, not sure on the value of the 56's... but if it's the "perfect " machine for you, and you can afford the 2k, then why wait? Just get it!  Sure, you may find a cheaper one, a better one, etc... but when? and all those are just MAYBE....
LIFE IS SHORT my friend.... if you have the $$ and are ok with it, and are NOT planning on flipping it, then pounce when you can, cause these machines are NOT made anymore.. and enjoy them for as long as we are on this earth!

The 56 is is a neat little machine and less seldom seen than the 81's , and I agree with the previous statment.. if it's for you personally, you have the money and it's close by, then I'd buy it.. it's not a crazy price.. sure one may pop up for  1600-1800, but who knows? no one has the magic soda machine Crystal Ball. (or do they) oh yeah Rod has one I think!

Thanks for the help.  I have purchased 20 round top soda machines in the last 12 years and never a 56.  I thought the going rate in this economy was around $1500.

I would love to own a 56 in my opp its the best one from the 50's i agree if you want it and can afford it grab it.

IMHO thats a $1,200-$1,500 machine TOPS but 56s pop up around here more than others. there was one on Little Rock Craigslist for $1,500 a few weeks back.

Indeed Cocacolaman!  Living proof of that for sure.  I think one of them was priced at$  2 ,200.00?
