Again, not sure on the value of the 56's... but if it's the "perfect " machine for you, and you can afford the 2k, then why wait? Just get it!  Sure, you may find a cheaper one, a better one, etc... but when? and all those are just MAYBE....
LIFE IS SHORT my friend.... if you have the $$ and are ok with it, and are NOT planning on flipping it, then pounce when you can, cause these machines are NOT made anymore.. and enjoy them for as long as we are on this earth!  smile

I think this is my 100th post too!  happydrinkers

The 56 is is a neat little machine and less seldom seen than the 81's , and I agree with the previous statment.. if it's for you personally, you have the money and it's close by, then I'd buy it.. it's not a crazy price.. sure one may pop up for  1600-1800, but who knows? no one has the magic soda machine Crystal Ball. (or do they) oh yeah Rod has one I think! biggrin

Thanks for the help.  I have purchased 20 round top soda machines in the last 12 years and never a 56.  I thought the going rate in this economy was around $1500.

IMHO thats a $1,200-$1,500 machine TOPS but 56s pop up around here more than others. there was one on Little Rock Craigslist for $1,500 a few weeks back.

How long has it been for sale?

Cash talks.  Decide what you are willing to pay for it, go look at it again with a pocket full & see what he will take for it.

Agree with Joey 1500. Hard to tell from the pic but good chrome/paint and complete no rust 2K isn't that bad. Easy to convert to glass door. If you get it and need any help, let me know.

This is one of the better machines to have. And location is one of the major factors when purchasing a soda machine. $2,000.00 may not be a bad price if this is the machine you are looking for. And if it were priced at $1500.00 it would have already sold.

Good luck
