Well Jim actually ...Yes!  It's my Sisters machine & I helped her post her auction!!!,  so what do you need to know  '>

it's arranged the same as a WC-78-MD & has the 12 oz. can adapters inside (removeable) that & adjustable racks that can also handle up to 12oz. glass bottles, it can out of a local Dearborn, Mi. Ford dealerships service dept. & has been at her home for over 1-1/2 years now, runs flawlessly & quite as a mouse!.  it's got a shorter sign than the 78/MD, & other than that it shares all the same internals with that model, that's the actual model no. off of the tag & is the second machine of it's type I've layed hands on personally , I picked it up in MtClemens MI. & I know of another up in the Bridgeport/Birchrun area. I haven't seen any info around on it & notice that Steve Ebner didn't even mention it in his vol II book? but it's real, & the pictures you saw are taken in my garage!

I know I'm not the most knowledgeable, but I never recall seeing anything on this particular model...
I know I'm way behind on some updates to the Soda Machines Section; perhaps you could get another photo that has the complete machine and forward it to me...?
Are the dimensions you posted accurate? It's only an inch shorter than the WC-78...

Sure I have lot's of Pic's & I can send them along to you, also subtract 3-1/2" for the added caster height!

I saw this machine on ebay also.  I emailed the seller (you, johnnieg? - who knew?) asking why the "Things Go Better..." graphics were missing from one side.  I figured it for a repaint, so I hesitated.  Usually these have a "Westinghouse" logo on the bottom in white, so the fact that it was missing (painted over?) made me concerned.

It's a cool machine.  Where the heck would you find the missing trim, though?

Well, I was told the Coke logos are only die-cut vinyl, so when the Coke guy came out to convert it over from bottles to cans, only the left side of the machine was exposed to the public in the dealerships waiting area/lounge (the right side was abutted against a candy vending machine with the whole area built into a paneled alcove, so although it's on casters, it only rolled to the rear of the enclosure.) so being the energetic type, he stuck one only on that side along with the "In 12oz. cans" sticker. the Westinghouse logo only apears on the ID Tag.

johnieg, I've always been curious about this.  When the Coke guy would come out to convert the machine to cans, did he also change the "Have A Coke" side graphics to "Things Go Better With Coke"?  Is this the vinyl onlay you refer to?

I had a plain old Vendo V-90 squaretop that had spent its entire life at the same gas station, yet one could see that it had been repainted and the old "Have A Coke" graphics were visible under the "Things Go Better..."

Did Coke go out into the field and repaint/re-logo their machines?

To answer your question regarding "On Site Repairs, upgrades & painting, Yes...
I had a friend that worked for Coca-Cola during the late 50's into the early 60's... His role was to do just that; convert, upgrade, and paint machines at the place of business. He would tell me that he would move the machine away from the wall, hang drop clothes along the way to prevent over-spray, and procede to spray the machines...
During his employment, he converted many machines into "white top" machines as well as other misc. modifications...

Write A Book! There's a good concept!
