It's all staged.  There is no reality at all.  He upset me over an eBay deal.  Bought an item from me, never responded.  Within 2 minutes he also won a Vendo 81.  He never contacted that guy either.  I sent many emails and invoices.  I had to claim non paying bidder.  His email address is restore4tv@gmail.com

Left me with bad attitude towards this guy.  I proceeded to block him as a bidder.  ebay ID kandr13

I had a semi bad experience with them. He bought a Victor 3 door and took forever to respond but finally did and then was a jerk. When called out on the time it took to respond he answered "Do you know who you are talking to" Ha Ha HA yep I know. But other than that I have to say the rest of the transaction went fine and after contacting he had a company come get it door to door and they took care of everything and were nice guys. The guys picking it up got a kick out of who it was going to when I told them though! At first they thought I was lieing and then they saw the destination as Las Vegas and thought it was cool. Smiley

Ever since he turned the V-39 into a Cav-72, I have been unable to watch the show without being critical of just about eveything that they do and say.  To make matters worse, a lot of people know I collect and they ask me about his show all the time.  I politely inform them that the guy does not always do that great of a job (I happen to agree with Eric that I have seen far better work from many of the SMC members) and he over-inflates the value of just about everything that he shows.

But do I like Storage Wars? - - - - Yeaaaaaap!  Of course a lot of that seems staged as well.  But it is fun to watch the key characters run each other up on the bids and they at least take stuff to appraisers so you can learn a little more about the different items that are uncovered in the storage lockers.

yea, if you actually believe that they find that stuff in the storage lockers. Everyone would be doing it if it was that easy. That show is more staged than any i've ever seen.

they do luck out sometimes and find good stuff. I went to look at a chicago cubs pinball that was listed on craigslist. the guy bought the locker for 500.00 had the pinball and some vintage furniture in it.  he was asking 1500.00 for the pinball, so in that case it was a pretty good score for him.

My wife is semi-interested in my hobby to the point of "Where is that machine going" or "Do we have room for that one" So to say that her knowledege is limited is absolutely correct.

She was sitting on the couch watching the very same episode with the Coffee Machine and she even hoisted up the bullcrap flag!

Maybe me sitting there with my eyeballs rolling around was a slight tip off........ smile

What got me was the guy that supposedly bought the coffee machine didn't even try to talk him down off the $10,000 price.  That's a lot of money for a fantasy piece that has nothing authentic about it.

He's a joke, yes, but hey, he's making money, so who's laughing?
