I bought a vendo 39 and has a couple of stickers (adhesive)from previous owner on thefront of  door.  What is the best way to remove. Steve

Peel off slowly, not a lot of pressure.  Then use some GooGone to get rid of the residue.

       Vinyl are easier to remove than water release, but both need heat to assist removal.
       I have found that a household iron works even better than a heat gun.

This thread got me thinking....
How would one go about removing a decal that is under a re-paint. Could be latex or automotive - don't recall.
I have (from what I remember) is a CC decal on my 6CV that is different from anything I had seen before. I would like to salvage it if possible.
Ideas??
Oh...as I recall the decal is centered on the vertical bend on the 110 main door (if that makes a difference in what to do).

If it is latex a damp towel warmed by an iron should do the trick. If automotive paint try paint thinner first. If that is a no go work your way up, paint stripper etc..

I am 80% sure it is not latex, but whatever it is it definately looks like it was applied with a brush.
I'll have to dig it out sometime....

As far as using the iron . Shall I put a wet towel over the sticker, then applthe steam from iron.
