Hi,

I just purchased a V110.  When it arrived, I noticed that the barrel lock on the main door was missing, and the door was locked (not able to open).  I'm trying to figure out how to get it opened so I can replace the lock.  (Or, do I need to get it opened to do that?)  Please send help!!

You might be able to stick something in there and push the lock bar either up or down to get it open.

Since you have other 110's, why not remove a tumbler from one and see what triggers that lock?

There is a spring loaded little lever inside there that must be pushed down.. I've been able to open them before with an alen wrench or similar shaped tool, just put it in and push down.

My VMC 110 came the same way.  I have been able to get mine opened with a screwdriver.  If I recall correctly, you can stick a screwdriver in the hole and lift up and it should open.  It might open easier if you apply some pressure on the door so the latch does not hang up.

I will double check mine when I get home tomorrow.
