Just picked this Vendo 63 up today for $45 - guy said the compressor was bad and needs charging, but I still need to verify. I'll test it sometime this next week or two. Just tossing the possible need out there in case it is bad. Complete with can stack, coinco mech and NINE can shelves, but missing the cap and coin box. Nice, clean and virtually rust free - had to pick it up a whole two blocks away.

Nice machine Tom.. awesome price. And 9 shelves.. good deal. I don't have compressor for one - I've got a few 56 compressors, and one of these days I'm going to see if I can fit the cooling system from a 56 into a 63. The evaporator is in a different spot, but I'm going to see if it will work.

I checked & somewhat rewired it today. Just plugged it in about 30 minutes ago and it is down to 36 degrees in 30 minutes. Still testing the T-stat's functionality.
Will check the stack and mech at some point, but I think they will be fine. My main concern (compressor) is eliminated. I had both the coin box and cap catcher, so all I think I'll need is a new lock (SJW sells one for $18.50) and a BO bezel?? (looks like one was there at some point). I know a V-56ST I once had did not have one, but this coin door does not have a raised ridge around the BO opening like the 56 did. Anyone know for sure?

All-in-all I got a working, 99% complete V-63 for $45 = VERY HAPPY!  biggrin smile

Coin mech worked on the 50c setting, but the can gates did not reset properly after one was lifted. After lifting most of them, it finally locked up again. Both need a good cleaning I presume.

I've found with most of the can stacks that they need a good cleaning and then hit with white lithium grease. Once they are cleaned and lubed, they work well. I've had 2 of those machines with that leather looking door, and I don't think either one had a BO bezel.
