I am thinking of moving my small square top V56 to door that goes out to the pool in the backyard.  It has a bottle stack in it right now.  How hard is it to swap it out for a can stack?

I was thinking glass bottles and a pool area really don't go together.

How does a can stack work?  How does the can get ejected?

Anybody have an extra can stack that'd fit this machine that they might want to part with?

I am leaving the LaCrosse 90 out in the garage full of bottles for the driveway parties.

A can stack has a flap you pull in front of each can.  When you pull it, the can gets pushed forward from the rear.  Swapping stacks is easy, but the shelves for a can stack are also different.

I posted a tutorial awhile back showing how I converted a VF56 square-cornered machine from bottles to cans, you might wish to do a search for it. I have a can stack, but I'm not sure at this point if I'd part with it as I have another VF56/Faygo machine I considering installing it into.

It's hiding in here somewhere.. Oo  It was a VF56/thriftvend/Coke machine, I showed how to swap out the bottle rack & install a can rack, the machine later sold. But I posted a step-by-step as I removed the old rack & installed the "new" can rack & shelves... smile

I am pretty sure SMC member 'bubba' has a can rack and shelves that he'll trade for a bottle rack and shelves - PM him.

Its a direct replacement. A bottle stack unbolts and a can stack bolts right in. The vend solenoid is the same with 2 wires. The shelves fit on the original shelf brackets in the machine. I've got a can stack and shelves I'd swap for a bottle stack and shelves if you are interested. A 56/63 stack is the same, but the bolt pattern is different I think. The 56/63 shelves are a bit different I think.

I'll look when I have time later; if someone finds the post, I'll make sure it's "pinned" in the Tutorials & Tips Section.
