Those Who Stay Will be Champions!

« on: March 14, 2009, 06:41:44 am »

I took a leap of faith hopefull and bought this even though the seller had a zero rating and they did not answer my question about the size of the item.  I figured that if it was only a 12 inch button that I probably overpaid but the scale of it in the photo against the few other items made it look bigger.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=250385114029

I inquired again about the size and shipping after the sale closed and here is the brief answer that I just got this morning was "38by38in"!  oops

I will see what shows up before I start the celebration.  It appears to have some fading, no doubt from hanging outside for a lot of its life but doesn't look too banged up.  I asked them to carefully pad both sides of the sign in shipping and mark "Handle with Care".

I will keep you posted; but, I think I got a good deal here!  Hopefully my time spent searching all of the "Coke" items (regardless of price) listed on E-Bay has finally paid off. hopefull

Very good find as this was listed in the beer category...?
38"x38" could possibly mistaken for a 36"diameter...
Could be a great find ! ! !

I'd say its a 36".. I'm sure the seller laid a garment tape on it , and measured from edge to edge with the curves included, which yes would make it 38" actual surface inches. but for 25.00 bucks... a nice decorator peice... I love these button signs.. i have about 12 of them , different sizes..

Throughout life we have all been told - - - "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!"

Well, once again my faith in my fellow man has been shattered (okay not really--that happened a long time ago when I handled loss prevention at a bank glare ) by an unscrupulous E-Bay seller.  Auction closed March 13th and I paid through PayPal immediately.  Still no package or communication from the seller.  I attempted to contact the seller a few times through E-Bay but to no avail.  Opened a dispute with E-Bay and the seller has not responded.  Elevated the matter to claim status and am awaiting my refund from PayPal.  I am sure that they probably sold it outside of E-Bay based on a contact that they made through E-Bay.  veryangry

Oh well down , I will get my Coke Button sign someday!  Anyone want to sell me a 36" Button for $25.00?!?!?  hopefull

I know how you feel. I had a couple of seller's that would not respond after paying as well. I did recieve my money back by filling a claim.
