cooling unit out of my old vendo 63 that is just collecting dust in the garage.

Hubby says this stuff has to go.

if it's an uncharged system, you can cut off the evaportator assy & jus toss it in the dumpster, but if it still has a freon charge, you must have the R12 recovered by a certified technician/shop, they will then tag the unit as such (recovered) then you can take  it to the dump of local metal recycler

I have a friend that can do that, he is certified (in more ways than one)  biggrin.

Depends if he still wants to work on some machines.
