You're right Joey.  What was I thinking.

I am loaded.  Loaded with debt!

But I am rich with friends and family.

I thought the same thing about having them brassed, I am suprised that they would be reproducing the part in the wrong finish though, and they already seem a bit pricey in the stainless finish

I have A a Couple GlasCock Coolers And Every One Had Nickle Plated Hings &  Handles . If You Polish Them You Remove the Nickel & Expose THe Brass .So People Just Polish the Brass Up

Leonard makes a lot of since. that is probably what has happened. Or someone could have done some restorations and brass plated them. You never know they could have thought it looked more antique. I know my dad did several restorations for a collector that everything in his house was black and gold/brass. We did a slot machine, poker machine, and a OMT CD Wurlitzer 1015 with wallbox and sent all of the chrome to las vegas and had it 24K gold plated and did all of the cabinets in gloss black formica. The gold plating was surprisingly inexpensive since there was so much being done there was a bulk discount. The plater was the company that plated slots for the nugget.

I restored a full size glascock for my Father a few years ago... someday it'll be mine...

what is the value of the small counter ones.. there is one for sale on oldgas and guy is asking 1800 for it ..seems steep...

I know Rod had one restored a while back... not sure what it went for ..very cool looking with all the brass polished up..

thanks for the info all, i am relieved that the brass is not the correct finish, that makes this a little less difficult for me
