I opened up my cavalier 72 & the power cord is crumbling all the way back to a round splitter type assembly. Does that round splitter deal open up so I can attach my new cord or do I need to find a new assembly?

Thanks for all your help here! This is a great site.

I would replace it all if I were you. I would also replace both fans while you are at it. You can get everything through Funtronics. They are a sponsor on the main page of this site.

Shoot... I was hoping I would just be able to add a new power cable up to that assembly but that round disc type thing can't be opened to attach the new wires.

I'd get a new wiring harness from Funtronics and it'll solve all our wiring woes...

I'm not your homeowner's insurance agent but I am sure that he would be glad if you re-wired that machine! smile  If you have got things apart, you might as well do it now and save yourself any problems down the road.  New wiring and new fans will likely make it run more efficiently as well.
