Title: vintage Coke stadium carriers Post by: sledworks on January 03, 2013, 09:39:18 pm A local collector is selling off some of his coke items due to poor health. He gave me a pair of these stadium carriers. I'm not sure they were ever used. Really nice looking. There are some minor rust spots coming through the paint, probably from sitting in damp storage.
I'd like to keep one and sell one. I'm not sure what they are worth. What's a fair price? I'm thinking around $300? Title: Re: vintage Coke stadium carriers Post by: Seven181 on January 03, 2013, 09:53:45 pm I have seen them on Ebay before. I would say that might be a good price. I know a few months ago there was a post and somone had like 15 or 20 of those. Not sure the seller wanted to sell them back then.

Title: Re: vintage Coke stadium carriers Post by: cola62 on January 04, 2013, 11:38:32 am Why are these so collectable and valuable when the tin style and older coke wooden style 6 pk carriers from the 30's only go for about $50-$75. Not being a smart ass, just wondering.
Title: Re: vintage Coke stadium carriers Post by: MoonDawg on January 04, 2013, 01:04:01 pm Production numbers. Far more 6 pack carriers were produced than stadium carriers.

I have a line on one supoosedly from the 40's that is made of metal, and is more hotdog shaped, and in great shape as well. It came from Briggs Stadium prior to being renamed Tiger Stadium. I'm told the rim at the top is lined with a trim ring made of rubber or leather (like a gasket around the entire top rim). It also has a shoulder strap on it like yours. I have not seen it...just described to me over the phone. Has anyone heard of the type I've described and know approximate value?
