A local collector is selling off some of his coke items due to poor health. He gave me a pair of these stadium carriers. I'm not sure they were ever used. Really nice looking. There are some minor rust spots coming through the paint, probably from sitting in damp storage.

I'd like to keep one and sell one. I'm not sure what they are worth. What's a fair price? I'm thinking around $300?

I have seen them on Ebay before. I would say that might be a good price. I know a few months ago there was a post and somone had like 15 or 20 of those. Not sure the seller wanted to sell them back then.

I have about 9 restored in this collection I bought, I restored them and some have the cup holders. The ones like you have I'm selling restored for $750.00 and there beautiful w/new straps. Unrestored around $300.00 so your on the money. The insulated ones unrestored sell for much more $800.00 restored up to $1800.00 I have about 20+ restored for sale.

Why are these so collectable and valuable when the tin style and older coke wooden style  6 pk carriers from the 30's only go for about $50-$75.  Not being a smart ass, just wondering.

Production numbers. Far more 6 pack carriers were produced than stadium carriers.

Sledworks:  Yours in the pic look to be in beautiful condition, but they look like they are made of plastic, although you said they have minor rust spots on them, so I wasn't sure what it's made of.

I have a line on one supoosedly from the 40's that is made of metal, and is more hotdog shaped, and in great shape as well.  It came from Briggs Stadium prior to being renamed Tiger Stadium.

I'm told the rim at the top is lined with a trim ring made of rubber or leather (like a gasket around the entire top rim). It also has a shoulder strap on it like yours.  I have not seen it...just described to me over the phone.

Has anyone heard of the type I've described and know approximate value?

More like this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/EXCELLENT-RARE-ORIGINAL-INSULATED-COCA-COLA-STADIUM-BOTTLE-CARRIER-COOLER-SIGN-/321036683932?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item4abf470a9c

I guess I answered my own question about value.  Thanks.
