I have been offered a Vendo 44 that is missing the coin door and coin mech. The insides are intact and the cooling system works. The outside is in good condition besides some dents where someone used a crow bar to open the coin door. The guy wants $700 for it. Is it worth that in parts? What do you think the machine is worth. I would be buying it to resell.
Thanks
Josh

I would probably buy it if I were you. You can get coin doors for around $250.00 that are new, but look original. bezels etc are also available new. I would trade you a complete 39 for it. Everythings there from the cooling system to the coin mech. Its just in pieces I would also throw in the standard cooler you were interested in if you could make the 3hr drive to me LMK

Well I am going to go pick it up this morning. I however already sold it and I am taking it to Cincinnati today. I might have traded it for some square tops.

Well I bought it today and I delivered it to its new owner today 500 miles away. It was a completely rust free machine but it has some dent problems. Check out the pre 60's section for the VMC 56 I traded it for.

Kinda looks like a school locker laying there.
If you drove it 500 miles, you had better have gotten an amazing profit for it.

No not really. The buyer is a really good friend. I know he would have done it for me and look at the deal he gave me on the VMC56. If you ask me that is what this hobby is all about. Also the profit did pay for my gas and I got to see my family.

Sounds like all parties were happy and a family visit.. priceless!!
Gotta agree with Glen, I'd keep it red/white. It is interesting how it's the same as a RT-56 Vendo but different. Dryer is in a much better spot, shelves are gravity. Just a very cool machine and glad your are going to keep it!!

Anybody know if Vendo/VMC sourced sub-assemblies (Coin Mech/Racks/compressors etc.) or used in-house?
Thanks!
