I was hoping to add to the stories of deals that have been posted recently.  Saw these posted on Craiglist Thurs. a few hours after they had gone on. He wanted $200. Emailed the guy and he emailed back with his work phone# so I had to call him at work Friday. Friday night was not good for him to go see them and he said he had someone already coming to look at them at 8am this morning.  He was surprised that he had 7 emails about them.  I asked if he received an offer was he going to sell and he said since the other guy was first to contact him and if he offered the $200 he was asking he would take it.  I offered to go higher if they were decent, but the other guy was first and he had listed at $200.  So he called this morning and of course the other guy bought them this morning. I think the Select-O-Vend would have been cool and probably would have unloaded the Lance for whatever.  Oh well.

That stinks, Dan.  That would've been a cool machine to tinker with.

But it does give me a warm fuzzy knowing there are people beyond the ones here who still have a sense of ethics and fairness, and because a machine says Coca Cola are offering it at the deposit price of a Malibu beachfront home.

Hang in there Dan

Oh yeah, I thought of that too.  He could have asked for more, but didn't and was fair about it. He even called me back the next morning to tell me they were sold.

This game was played fairly. How would you like to be the guy who had made the appointment for 8:00 am the next day, and arrive on time only to find out he sold it the night before!

Ditto.  It's not as disappointing when they're honest.
