Im not really a 7up collector and he couldn't tell me much about it excet that his dad had them in there warehouse when they were kids, price seams good. I'll post some pics when I get them what do you guy's think is it worth it?

If it's a roundtop, RUN over there and get it.  A member sold one in great original condition last year for $4000.  Next to the RC 81, the 7Up 81 is the rarest.

If it's a square top, it could be a transition machine, and depending on the condition, that price would be pretty good.

I'd mow both you guys down in my truck and not look back to see if you were OK! J\K  ':<img:'>
If it is a RT, I think you just won "Find of the year" honors!
Just for grins, offer $300 since he said "obo", but take the $400
if it is RT or transitional.
Transitional 81 machines can be in the $1500 range.

I bid on that auction up to $2223, which was pushing my current finances.
Jim is about 30 minutes away from it.
I was going to wire him cash to go check it out and get it.
Looked pretty good, but it had the wrong coin entry bezel!

I was beginning to wonder why this "other" machine did not come up when the 33-3D was purchased.
Maybe I'll still mow you down.  ':<img:'>
