All,

Here's a link to a bunch of Cavalier 51 parts.  This guy has got the coin mech, rollers, ratchet assembly, and the AMMO BELT.  So, if you have one in need of anything, check out the listings.  His eBay name is korben101 incase the link doesn't work.

Sorry to chime in so late. Yes, those are my parts up for auction on EBay. I'm parting out the 51 that I picked up earlier this summer. After sitting in my gargae for awhile, it's appeal kind of wore off....I feel kinda bad in a way seeing as how that was my first (and only) psuedo-round top. But, my loss is somebody else's gain I guess.

Maybe I could put the money towards a 56 or something  '<img'>

Hey 90grad,
Thanks for the heads up. Think you need to reconsider your bid now though. Brian needs all the money he can get ':drinkers:'

Doug,

I just saw where you outbid me.  Actually, this isn't the first time I've been outbid on an auction by a fellow SMC member.
I will consider changing my bid, but I don't want to get into a bidding war with some one else on the board.  I definitely don't want to short-change Brian, but at the same time, I want to look out for my other SMC members, too.  The whole point of eBay is an auction, but if some one here wants something, I don't want to increase the price for them.

Hmmm. So what does everyone think?  Etiquite-wise, is it ok to knowingly outbid another SMC member?  In the past I have seen many posts where people write, "Let me know if you are going after it and I will stay out of it", or something similar to that.

Just wondering.  '<img'>

Good question Dan. Here's my view.  Most of the fun in this hobby is the find.   If I am the first to see an aution item, that has some special interest to me, I will place a modest bid. This only lets friends in the community know that I am somewhat interested, usually it's a machine that is close to here.  Once I get outbid I see nothing wrong with everyone in the group participating on the item, although I may snipe it at the last minute anyway. Communication here could save us money.  Wayne stated this post then got oubid by a member?
This leads us to another discussion. I also use the name MoonDawg for ebay bidding.  This is not true for everyone here.  We may not even know we are bidding against a fellow SMC member.   Could we not post our ebay trading name somewhere on our profile, or better yet on our signature for reccognition purposes?
