Doesn't seem to be a lot of 63 owners posting. Where are you and where do you hang out ?(forum)

I need a picture of the underside of the stainless trim at the top of the bottle door. I am trying to add the door light and dont know what this area looks like

tks Bart

ps - this is not my machine in the photo, it's one I found that shows the bulb holder

you'll need to cut a rectangular hole 2-1/2" x 1-3/4" AND make sure your bottle stack has a clearance notch at the top so the wires don't get crushed against it when the door closes ( short-circut city).

Looks like this has been done by hand already.

I cannot get a photo as my machine is at my brothers house... Sorry!

So it's just a hole and no lens ? I believe the socket is the same as the correct change bulb holder and I surmise that the light is tied in to the coke sign switch.

There are 63's without the light? Every one that I have or have seen has always had the light.

both of mine are 1960, One has the lighted Coke sign neither has the door light.

I can't find good pics of this feature, seems there isn't much as far as 63 restoration sites. Nothing of a detailed nature. If you know of some or have any favorites I'd love to see the links.

I've never needed to go anywhere else, nor do I think there are any other sites like this one... I'll take some close shots of my light setup.

Does your bottle stack have the cutout at the top like the one shown in the picture? If not, thats what JohnieG is talking about.

My stack has the cutout for the socket clearance.
The picture looks different than my machine. The inside of the bottle door on mine is stainless
It looks as if I am going to need that whole assembly, I thought all it needed was a bulb , socket and some wiring.
