Older Yellow Wooden Coke Crate Family Size. What does this hold? 16oz or 1L glss

So not paying to much attn I stopped by a interesting store in pocatello idaho. Everything 1/2 off and in the back the had a coke crate and some pepsi crates with bottles. I wish I had some money for the bottles. They had more than just coke or pepsi bottles (5.00 or more a peice) But anyway they wanted 35.00 for the crate. But being 1/2 price ended up at like 17.50. So not bad. Well I got it home and realized the holes was bigger than 12oz bottles. WTF. So I started to think. I got it for 16oz bottles so yea 16 oz bottles. Nope still seem to small. On the side of the yellow box. Drink coca cola in bottles. Family Size. Yellow with red letters. Plant on the side is pocatello idaho. Um yea that is were the store is at and the local coke plant. The slots are 12 total. So it this a litter size or 16oz size? I have not 1L bottles. Anyway it will look great for display.
