New Toy

I took advantage of the Cash for Clunkers last night and traded in my 95 Chevy pickup 5-speed with 267K miles on it and bought a new Hyundai Elantra Touring car automatic. Normally I buy used vehicles, but I couldn't pass up the $4500 for my POS truck. My FIL lives across the street and has a pickup I can steal for any HD runs or pulling my trailer. It was a pleasure to drive to work this morning in something that doesn't feel like its gonna fall apart at 70mph and something that I don't have to shift. I'll get some pictures of it later..

Wow 267,000 miles ?? If you would have waited much longer you would have had to roller skate to work. Glad to see people taking advantage of the Clunker money. And there is nothing better than the feel of a new vehicle.

Congrats on the new ride.. we have had quite a few Insureds buy new vehicles through that program... I'm toying with the idea but my car isn't "Clunkered" enough... oh well.
