Any sugestions on how to go about repainting the refrigeration unit (condensor and compresor) out of an 81?  I am looking for the cheap way out.  Is there a special spray can style paint that is available or do I need to spend some money and have it painted.  Just looking for any and all advice.
Thanks again!

You can go the cheap way and still have it look great.  I use a wire brush and scotch brite to clean off rust and dirt.  Be careful when you brush the condenser coils as they are delicate.  If you have some rust still visible give it a coat of Rustoleum rusty metal primer.  Top that off with Rustoleum glossy black or whatever color is right for your machine (mine is gray).  I've included a picture of mine that was done as I've described.  You may also want to mask off the ID tagso it doesn't get overspray on it.  I took off my ID tag and painted it green.

good luck, Doug
