I pickup up a couple new machines over the weekend, a Cavalier USS-8-64 and a Cavalier CSS-8-64.  I didn't get photos before I went to see them, and of course they were both woodgrain!  Its really my first experience with the stuff, and after some time in the garage today, I was surprised.  I had planned on painting the panels after peeling away the vinyl, but I wasn't sure what to expect underneath.  I got all of the vinyl off, then used some Goo-Gone to take all the adhesive off, and sure enough there's a perfect paint job under there.  I still don't think I'll leave it white, but it's going to be very easy to scuff up the paint and throw some Coke red on there.

Well, this was another transition of a woodgrain CSS-64, my roommate is doing the work, with some advice.  I got this CSS as a package deal along with the USS-64 a couple posts up.  Not a bad job, pretty much all rattle-can paint, with not a ton of detail spent on cleaning it all up in the end.  I think it's coming along pretty well.
