I found a really nice and complete Vendo 23 in my area. I wouldn't restore it if I got it, it's that nice. No dents, light scuffs. looks really nice.

Can anybody tell me what are they worth? and if they are very popular or not?

Thank you

They were used a lot in barber shops and beauty shops because of their small size, they have never been real popular but they do look nice restored.  I have owned probably 25-30 of them and restored a few but I have never paid more than $500 for one, usually $250-400.  If you do get it you may be in for a pleasant surprise when you take it apart, if it has not been taken apart before you will find several coins in the bottom where they have fallen down where the bottles rest.  I have found as many as 30 silver dimes and 17 nickels, some of them buffalo when I took one apart.  I have found coins in several 23's.  Another good machine to find silver dimes in is the Vendo 83, they fall down into the insulation as the slug rejector kicks them out.

Thanks for the information, I know absolutely nothing about these little machines. I owned one once in the late 80's. It was decent and worked but it was missing the crank handle so thinking that I would never find a handle I traded it off for a coke sign.  Regrets, regrets, I have many.

Thanks again for the help.

We all have regrets about the machines we sold, but that just means we had enough money to buy other machines............
