Man it's alway good to get away, no cell phones no computers, Just enjoying nature at it best    . The bad thing is you have the neighbor watch the dog for a week, and he does the neighbor hood watch from your garage because your soda machine is well stocked with (Free ) beer ,by the time you get home it's empty with a note that has on it  Thanks for the beer you don't owe me anything for watching the dog    .  Pat    |

Well, we made it back... what a week. The weather was awesome, the ocean was beautiful, and the kids were even good for the week. Couldn't have been much better. We were in Long Beach Island Creighton... Pt. Pleasant is a nice area still. My boss has a house in PPB. |

 Hi Ya Ken

Always looking for somewhere new to go...

Would there be enough there to entertain two very demanding 8 & 5 yr olds...?

Dave... It all depends.. My kids are 8 & 10, and they never stop. They were tired by the end of each night. As far as variety goes, its the ocean, and a small amusement park are the 2 main things on Long Beach Island. You can rent boats, go fishing, bicycling, but mostly sitting by the beach. About 1/2hrs drive north, there is a boardwalk along the ocean with all types of games, arcades, and rides. We didn't go this year. We had enough to keep us busy. The house we rented had a park behind it. One night, there was a band playing. I just sat on the deck with beer(s) in hand and enjoyed the music. LBI is a relaxing place to vacation.
It is is about 2hrs drive to New York City, Philadelphia, and a bit closer to Atlantic City and Cape May, NJ.

Ken,Glad you had a great time. Happy that PP is still nice. Hope to take a trip back one of these days.
 Dave,
The NJ shore is one of the best places for vintage americana. The small boardwalks like Seaside Hts. are great fun!!
