First I must say a BIG “THANK YOU” to Frank and Scott for hauling this rusty tub to Missouri on their way to Brian's... And to Brian for making this all happen.... Sorry to say but I think Frank wants to see those granddaughters more than you Brain he's just using that couch as an excuse! After looking it over there is gonna be a lot of work to do... It was a MASTER...it's missing the compressor.... they painted it a darkgreen almost black....welded hooks to either side to host it into the loft of a barn.... well one is welded through the “I” in Drink on one side and part of the “R” on the other side then they drilled one hole on each lower side.. one goes through the “C” on COLD and the other side they just hit the “C” in COLD... then there's dents here and there... but all in all the metal is solid... I've already taken the tub out...the base bolts are rusted on so I'll have to ROTO ZIP those off then carefully zip off the hooks.... I'll post pics later... Another project hope they can get it as good as the Nichol Kola....

Here it is... taken apart... notice the welded hooks... right through the word “DRINK” and the bullet hole through “COLD”.... I've done a mock up of the colors.... I'll add that tomorrow...will need a LOT of work....

Very cool Eric! I can't think of another Orange Squeeze cooler (especially embossed) that I have seen...prettty rare I guess? Yes? No? What were the original colors - yellow and red? Didn't quite understand the previous post - Is this yours or somebody else's? Waiting patiently to see whay happens....

It's mine... got it off ebay for $45 bucks... but as you can see she's a long way from being a cooler right now... Brian's Dad was coming through Missouri and was nice enough to drop it off on his way....(Thanks Again... Hope you liked the base and catcher Brian)
It was a bright yellow and red letters with a black base and lids... I'm gonna do a yellow/orange body, darker orange letters and black base and lid.... So kinda like the original but use orange instead of red .... I got the hooks ground off and need to do some dremmel (spelling) tooling around the “R” and “I” and then have weld shut the 2 bullet holes..... anyway here's a color scheme I'm gonna go with....

Ha... well.. I'm slow... real slow... but progress on my Orange Squeeze Quikold cooler... the hooks have been ground off, the 2 holes welded shut and dremel tool used to build back the letter from both sides, metal shrunk back from the hooks pulling... ready for primer, I have all the embossing traced, scanned, rebuilt and opener chromed... new lid and gasket from Fun-Tronics... anyway thought I would post.. Who knows, might get it done this year.. we'll see.. stay tuned...

Nice, is it going to become another master, or a standard or junior?

That's what is sweet about Quikolds, they are all bolted together.. guess they were made to order in some cases.. This certain cooler started out as a master but was pretty rough.. compressor was gone, base was rusted and lids beat and the back panel dented, the ends were alright and solid with the exception of 2 hole drilled and some hooks welded onto them... I had all theses parts left over from a 7up junior that I cut the bottom off of for my Nichol Kola, so I took those left over parts and decided to bolt it all back together as a junior to see what it would look like... looked awesome... all I needed was a nicer (solid) lid and a base... Had a base made and bought a lid from Rod.... Body work is pretty much done, got to get all the colors and paint lined up, get vinyl masking made and some casters ordered. If all goes right might be able to have this done in a few weeks... but never know what life will throw at me. But I'm hoping.
