On the first photo, it looks like slider mech holes on the left side What is throwing me is the double-dot Pepsi logo and squarish corners- Is it embossed? I'm betting it is a slider type - not embossed, but DD Pepsi logos!

Small one looks like a S&S cooler (dry box just add your ice) doesn't look like the panels are embossed bet they are just screened and slide in the other... I bet is some sort of another dry box maybe has a compressor.... would have to see a shot of the back or the lids... If it's emboosed and not too huge would be cool to have.... I think it looks like a Standard Westinghouse size and it looks embossed the same embossing on the front as on the sides.... 1940s .... what's the $$?

Well - the larger one definately looks DD embossed and no longer like a slider - I would pursue it if the price is right!

Another note is the coolers may be from a Canadian manufacturer... They just have that look to me... The storage area on the open base cooler has straight supports whereas S&S/Quikold usually utilized slightly angled supports... The enclosed cooler probably has or had a refrigeration system. Surprisingly, I don't see any indications for bottle openers or cap catchers... I hope they have tags for identification... Are they asking for you to offer a price or do they have a price already...?

Len, What makes youi say they are Canadian? Is it the color schemes ( Or Colour north of the border?) This isn't a challange, just another chance to learn some more form the board members.

Amazing what is still out there... 2 more coolers just sitting in a garage like that... the larger cooler would definantly be worth looking into since it looks embossed.. depending on the condition of the tub, back and size.... would be killer to have... Are you gonna try and get them? good luck if you do!

Well I picked up the two machines for pretty cheap. And took a few pics of the machines. Both seem to have very little serious rust and minor surface rust, both tubs are not rotten through, and the bigger one besides a few dents and what not seems in pretty good shape. There both embossed coolers The smaller one seems to be fine, one leg is a bit rotten on the bottom about an inch is rotted off, and some of the embossed pannels have rust holes in them, one has a big rust spot on the bottem, but structurally I cant find to much wrong with them.. They both seem pretty sold. I took a few pics for everyones viewing pleasure.... Anyone know someone who can restore the pepsi panels on here? Heres the link for the pics, feel free to add them to the archive if one wishes as well, I'll take full machine pics when I get a chance.. http://www.kanienkeha.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4472k thanks

Great Scores! That larger yellow Is keeper! Awesome... gotta be from the early 40s! That yellow with red is killer... bet a Pepsi collector could help date it due to that color scheme... any tags or little plates to help find out who made it? Wanna see that one if you restore it... can't tell... what's the size?...is it a standard size or master size cooler?... Congrats on the score!!!!!

Even though I am a Coke guy through and through, I have to admit that I like the Pepsi yellow and red paint scheme! Very cool find. My wife and her family would dis-own me if I brought one home though!

I saw a odd ball Orange Crush cooler on my last visit to Canada. It was made by a "Elevator" company.

Well sorry for the late replies guys my account went crazy on me. As for the smaller cooler I already started sand blasting the legs and repairing one of the rotten ends, the tub just needs a good cleaning.
As for the tin embossed pepsi signs, it seems all for have some and alot of rusted out sections, anyone have any ideas on how I can repair or even replace these embossed panels. I should have it totally sandblasted by weekend, and the new leg piece welded on and fixed within a week. Then I'm going to paint it a similar blue, I'm going to have the lid made stickers and professionally repainted, and I think for now I'm going to make some fake Pepsi Panels for the cooler.
As per the embossed panels on the sides, I'm thinking I might re-emboss some tin with the same lettering. I might make a mould of one of the embossings with some polymer, do a reverse mould then stamp them out on my 20 ton press I have.
The bigger tub is kewl but it has no marking on it anywhere that I can find. I honestly only wanted the smaller one. I know the big ones probably a better find but I dont have the space, though its in good shape, nor can I figure out how to remove the tub in it. So if anyones interested in a yellow pepsi cooler, I might be willing to part with it..
k - I think I'm a Soda Machine addict, I even have 3 making money lol
